Grateful for Fremont’s plan
to build navigation center

Re: “City narrows sites for homeless center to 2” (Page B1, July 11):

I am a homeless woman, 56 years old, born in Fremont. I am pleased to hear of this new development.

I am witnessing a lot of new people here. I also know a lot of folks who have been out here on the streets. Too many are involved in drug activity, some drink. So thank you for the information. I know of the homeless in Niles. I was told about a young female who was going in and out of traffic. She suffers from psychosis — terrible. And I had a friend who was killed in Niles.

I remember a time, when I was a kid, and didn’t have a care in the world. But for the past 10 years, I have had much concern for the homeless here in Fremont as well as myself.
