Authorities extinguished a two-alarm brush fire Monday afternoon in Campbell that left the right southbound lane of Highway 17 blocked for about an hour.
Santa Clara County Fire Department received multiple calls starting at about 1:42 p.m. that a brush fire had ignited between Highway 17 and Los Gatos Creek, said spokesperson Luisa Rapport.
County fire officials fully contained the blaze within about 10 minutes of the first calls, Rapport said.
Flames had engulfed about 130 by 30 feet of grass and brush. No vehicles were involved, and there were no reported injuries.
California Highway Patrol blocked off the right southbound lane for about an hour as fire officials mopped up the scene, according to spokesperson Ross Lee.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
