Pacific Gas & Electric Co. shut down power Wednesday to a wide area of Northern California. The start time was delayed for the second wave of shutdowns, which included the Bay Area, and it wasn’t until Wednesday night that some of those areas began to lose power.
No restoration times were announced at the time of the shutdowns, but on Wednesday PG&E was able to restore some power to two areas first shut off and in other cases said it might start the restoration process around noon on Thursday Oct. 10. PG&E warned that the outages could last multiple days.
