Greg Kihn to perform at North Dakota State Fair

Greg Kihn and his band will be performing at the North Dakota State Fair as a part of Rick Springfield’s “Best In Show” performance alongside Eddie Money. The show will take place July 25 at 8 p.m.

Kihn first signed on with the record label Beserkley Records in 1973. He had chart topping hits in 1981 with “The Breakup Song (They Don’t Write ‘Em)” and in 1983 with “Jeopardy.” His video for “Jeopardy” became one of the first concept videos and was played extensively on MTV during the early days of the channel.

The Greg Kihn band spent much of the 80s touring with groups such as Journey, The Rolling Stones and the Grateful Dead, as well as appearing on TV shows including “Solid Gold,” “American Bandstand” and “Saturday Night Live.”

The band is made up of Greg Kihn on lead vocals and guitar, his son Ry Kihn on lead guitar and vocals, Robery Berry on bass and vocals and David Lauser on drums.

Over the years, Kihn has expanded his career to being a DJ on KUFX in San Jose, Cali. and as an author of six novels and numerous short stories and two screenplays.

In 2018, the band released a new album titled “ReKihndled.” Featuring new music, it is the band’s first new album in 21 years.
