Dumped Love Island star Joe Garratt has spoken out about Amy Hart's behaviour in the villa and has shared his disappointment.

The 22-year-old sandwich seller has arrived back in the UK after his dramatic dumping from the ITV2 show split up his budding romance with Cornish surfer Lucie Donlan.

They had been coupled from the start of the show but the 'intense pressure' of being in the villa had started to show in recent days, as Lucie looked to spend time with boxer Tommy Fury and Joe was accused by viewers of 'trying to control' his partner, as he battled with feelings of jealousy.

Speaking to The Sun Online , Joe has opened up about his relationship with Lucie and the atmosphere in the villa.

He is now getting the opportunity to watch back the episodes during his three-week stay in Love Island and it has upset him how Amy has behaved out of earshot of Joe and Lucie.

Amy hadn't seen eye-to-eye with Lucie, accusing her of alienating herself from the girls by spending time exclusively with Joe or Tommy.

Joe has said that he is 'heartbroken' to discover Amy's behaviour behind his back, with viewers already calling her out as a 'snake' for her antics.

He said: "I thought we got on. If she’s gone back and said other things to other people that would be heartbreaking."

Joe also revealed that every issue in the villa gets highlighted and 'blown out of proportion' because they are living with each other 24/7.

He explained: "It’s hard because on the outside the relationship would build and you would talk frequently and meet once a week...

"And it was like I had these two days with her and they were so fantastic and we got on so well and then you have the spanner chucked in.

“I think the intense nature of it all and when fellow Islanders said stuff to me – it would never bother me normally...

"But because you are in there and you get told things constantly you are like ‘am I OK with these things’ and I generally was...

"But you feel that heightened pressure and you have these conversations and you have to address things.”

Joe has indicated that he would be willing to wait for Lucie to leave Love Island in the hope they can rekindle their romance.

She was teetering towards quitting the show before her fellow islanders persuaded her to stay.

This means that she will have to couple with another to ensure she is kept in the villa.

*Love Island airs all week at 9pm on ITV2.
