Tyson Fury again will use Freddie Roach’s gym for his clash with Tom Schwarz — but the legendary trainer thinks Anthony Joshua is better than him.

Fury used Roach’s Wild Card gym in Los Angeles for his draw with Deontay Wilder in December and has asked if he can again use his facilities for his fight with Schwarz in Las Vegas on June 15.

Roach, who was Fury’s cuts man for the Wilder fight, is happy to oblige, but believes his rival Joshua is the world’s best heavyweight.

“Joshua, I like a lot,” said the legendary American trainer when asked to rate Fury, Joshua and Wilder.

“He’s my favourite heavyweight.

“He was very modest when I met him. I like him a lot. He’s the best heavyweight in the world, ahead of Wilder and Fury.

“On Fury, I would say to Joshua: Don’t take him lightly, because he can fight. He can fight.”

Roach was amazed by Fury’s incredible recovery against Wilder when he was knocked down in the 12th round.

“How did he get up from that shot?” he said. “He showed a lot of heart. It was really unbelievable what he did and it made he think there is a God!”

Roach is happy to help Fury out again after the former unified heavyweight champ ditched training at altitude at Big Bear for the Wilder fight to come down to his gym in Hollywood.

He was in Fury’s corner for Wilder, but says the Traveller has not said if he wants him to be part of his team again.

“Tyson has asked me if he can come over and use my gym again and that’s all he has asked so far,” said Amir Khan’s former mentor. “I like him, he’s a good guy and I’m sure he will take me out for another steak dinner.

“I don’t think Tyson will struggle for motivation, he is up against a guy who is 24-0 and has never been beaten.

“This is a real, good fight. He has fought better guys along the way, but you cannot take guys lightly because that is when mistakes happen.”
