Everton forward Richarlison admitted there are some cultural differences he finds difficult to adjust to between England and his native Brazil- but said something more positive is that he is a big fan of the English women.

The 22-year-old took the Premier League by storm when he joined Watford in 2017, and his impressive performances saw the Toffees sign him last summer for an initial fee of £35m.

He became a fans' favourite in his first season at Goodison Park, and scored 13 goals in 35 Premier League games to help Everton finish eighth in the table.

But in an interview with France Football Richarlison admitted it took him a while to get used to playing in the bitter cold of the English winter.

"The first year in England was really complicated," he said. "I couldn't adapt to the temperature. On the pitch, my legs were shaking, my ears were burning."

It's also unlikely you will see Richarlison in a Liverpool fish and chip shop, as he confessed he is not the biggest fan of British food.

He said: "My culinary culture is so different from English cuisine that I really can't get used to what we eat here. When I arrived at Watford, I lost about five pounds because I didn't like local food."

But Richarlison, who is currently on international duty with Brazil at the Copa America, did have some positives to say about the country.

"There is a lot of friendliness and people are educated. And then the girls are very pretty!" he added.

Richarlison has currently only been a bit-part player in Brazil's Copa America campaign, playing 84 minutes in the 3-0 win over Bolivia but only 45 in the 0-0 draw against Venezuela.

He was left on the bench for the 5-0 win over Peru but will be hoping he can make an impression in the quarter-final tie against Paraguay on Friday as Brazil aim to win their ninth overall Copa America title.
