Paul Pogba will wait patiently for his move to Real Madrid - because he is desperate to work with Zinedine Zidane.

The Manchester United star flew with his team to Australia for their pre-season tour and has so far been an integral part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's preparations for the new season.

But the French World Cup winner has made his feelings clear about his future and has instructed super-agent Mino Raiola to put together a move to the Bernabeu.

And according to respected French daily newspaper L'Equipe, that is because Pogba is keen to work under his countryman in the Spanish capital.

Zidane returned to Real Madrid last season and has so far spent his summer rebuilding his squad.

Over £270million has been spent so far with Eden Hazard ( Chelsea ) and Luka Jovic (Eintracht Frankfurt) the big-name arrivals so far,

Eder Militao and Ferland Mendy have also arrived from Porto and Lyon respectively.

But the signing of Pogba could go down to the wire with United refusing to sell him for less than £150m.

The midfielder is contracted to the Old Trafford club until 2021 and Solksjaer expects him to be in Manchester for the start of the new Premier League season.

But Riola, who recently facilitated Matthijs De Ligt's move from Ajax to Juventus , is continuing to work on the move.

“Everyone within the club [United] from the manager to the owner knows Paul’s wishes,” he told The Times. “Everyone knows the willingness of Paul to move on. We are in the process of that; everyone knows what the feelings of Paul are.”

Real may have to sell before they can be sure of snaring Pogba with Gareth Bale one player they are keen to part company with.
