James Arthur is fuming at being snubbed for Glastonbury 2019 - and is blaming "snobbery" over his background.
The upset X Factor winner made a savage dig at the festival organisers with an outrageously sarcastic tweet after the full line-up and set times were announced.
He tweeted: "Thanks @GlastoFest for asking me to play again this year! So glad you aren’t snobs and look down on me for any particular reason. #honoured #glastonbury2019"
Speaking on today's This Morning, James tried to defuse the situation and insisted he wasn't "bitter", then went on another epic rant about his singing credentials.
The 'Impossible' singer believes he was "made to perform at Glastonbury" - so surprisingly has never been asked to sing at Worthy Farm.
He said: "I think there has been a lot made of it. I would love to be considered I guess credible enough to perform at these things.
"I think I was made to perform at Glastonbury and these big festivals. I am a musician. I have worked very hard, it’s been seven years since The X Factor and it’s amazing that I have managed to sustain a career.
"It’s amazing what the likes of myself, Olly Murs, Little Mix, we have been able to be considered viable enough, to come from a show like that and then still be relevant.
"There is a little bit of snobbery attached to being from a reality TV show and I think maybe we get overlooked for things like that. For me, it sucks because I believe I am made for those kind of things."
The X Factor 2012 singer also hit out at claims that he was 'manufactured' by TV bosses.
He told Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford: "Most of the people in my lane are probably more manufactured than I was.
"I was in a position where I had to go for The X Factor. I didn’t have any money, I didn’t have people pumping finance into me.
"You hear these guys on the radio and they are billed as these homegrown [artists] who have worked their way up and really, they come from some sort of money.
"That’s not me being bitter, it’s a fact. It’s not a dig at [Glastonbury], I love it and that’s my dream.”
There could be another option for James, who is considering lining up a career in acting.
He explained: "Sometimes I feel like there is only so far I can go when you take into consideration where I came from. I can only feel like I am going to be overlooked for so long in this field.
"It’s amazing what I have been able to achieve since The X Factor and sometimes I feel like, I used to make music for myself and to inspire other people and my competitive ego sometimes gets in the way.
"Pretending to be other people and explore another avenue of creativity I think would make me happy."
