PLATTE -- Platte-Geddes knocked off Andes Central/Dakota Christian in prep volleyball action on Monday. Set scores were 25-20, 22-25, 25-19 and 25-12.

Platte-Geddes (5-2): Regan Hoffman led the Black Panthers with 14 dis, eight kills and four aces. Haley Hoffman added 14 assists and two aces. Avery DeVries contributed three aces, nine assists and one block. Karly Vanderwerff finished with three blocks and eight kills. The Black Panthers play Burke on Sept. 24 in Bonesteel.

Andes Central/Dakota Christian (2-5): Melanie Mudder had 24 digs and six aces. Isabel Pheifer finished with 18 digs, seven kills and five aces. Mackenzie Muckey added six kills and nine digs. The Thunder play Scotland today in Lake Andes.

SCW 3, Mitchell Christian 0

FORESTBURG -- Sanborn Central/Woonsocket notched a home win over Mitchell Christian on Monday in prep volleyball action. Set scores were 25-13, 25-20 and 25-21.

SCW (3-4): Morgan Schmiedt served a team-high five aces and 10 assists. Cassidy Slykhuis added 11 kills and four blocks, while Kaylee White finished with 18 digs. Trista White three aces for the Blackhawks and Mariah Jost put down eight kills. The Blackhawks play at Wessington Springs today.

Mitchell Christian (2-2): Maggie Reynen added six kills in the loss, while Erica Thompson finished with 11 assists, 14 digs and two aces. Whisper Eben recorded a team-high 16 digs to go with three kills. The Golden Eagles host Wolsey-Wessington today.

Redfield 3, MVP 1

MOUNT VERNON -- Mount Vernon/Plankinton dropped a prep volleyball match against Redfield on Monday. Set scores were 25-18, 21-25, 25-18 and 25-19.

Redfield (8-2): Statistics for Redfield weren’t reported. The Pheasants play Deuel on Thursday in Clear Lake.

Mount Vernon/Plankinton (2-3): Katlyn Briggs led the Titans with 16 kills to go with 14 digs and two blocks. Reagan Klooz dished out 20 assists, while Rebecca Gerlach added 18 digs. Mallory Bohr served four aces. The Titans play Kimball/White Lake today in White Lake.
