DETROIT -- Days after a hoarder died in 2015, a horrific stench hung over his Detroit neighborhood.

The stink was emanating from one of several blighted homes owned by Gary Roquemore prior to his death.

Snooping neighbors honed in on the source -- Roquemore’s basement. There they discovered a 500-pound Yorkshire hog wallowing in nearly two feet of its own excrement. Roquemore had removed the stairs, thereby creating his own personal pig pit.

If the hog’s discovery wasn’t alarming enough, neighbors told Detroit police the pig had an odd diet. And it consisted of human flesh.
