Michigan State Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident that’s closed eastbound I-94 at Little Mack, just northeast of Detroit. The accident took place shortly before 7 a.m. Tuesday and involved four cars and one semi truck according to the MSP Detroit Twitter account.

According to the Michigan Department of Transportation traffic map, commuters are able to get off eastbound I-94 at East 12 Mile Road ahead of the crash site and use Gratiot Avenue to get around the closure. It is unclear how long the highway will be closed as police work the scene.
