SAGINAW, MI — A police cruiser was damaged while police conducted a drug-related arrest in a McDonald’s parking lot in Saginaw County’s Kochville Township.

The incident occurred about 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 20, at the restaurant on Tittabawasee and Bay roads when a narcotics team tried to arrest someone who had sold them drugs, police said. That’s when the suspect’s vehicle went over a curb and struck a Michigan State Police vehicle, according to MSP Lt. David Kaiser.

Kaiser said troopers from MSP were in the area to assist the narcotics officers.

The driver was taken into custody without further incident, Kaiser said.

Additional information was not released by Kaiser.
