Michigan's game next season against Kentucky in London now has a name, a new date, and ticket information.

On Friday, the Basketball Hall of Fame, the event's host, announced the London Showcase, which will take place on Dec. 6.

That is a day later than previously reported, and a change from the original contract between the Hall of Fame and the participating schools. A Hall of Fame spokesperson declined to comment on the reason for the switch.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Feb. 27 at 10 a.m. London time (5 a.m. ET) via axs.com and The O2 arena box office. Prices are not yet listed.

A University presale, available to current U-M men’s basketball season ticket holders and donors with 500 or more priority points with start on Feb. 25 at 10 a.m. ET.

Michigan and Kentucky will tip at 6 p.m. London time. The undercard, tipping at 3:00, features Marist and Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC).

The Wolverines and Wildcats will continue a head-to-head series the next two seasons, first in Ann Arbor in 2021 and in Lexington the following season.

"What a tremendous opportunity for Michigan, Kentucky and college basketball itself," Michigan coach Juwan Howard said in a statement. "Not only are we starting a three-game series with one of the premier college programs in the country, we will be able to create that 'once-in-a-lifetime' experience for our young men and our fans."

Kentucky, the sport's all-time winningest program, holds a 5-2 series edge of Michigan. They last met in the 2014 NCAA Tournament, when Kentucky won by three to reach the Final Four.

This season, Kentucky is 21-5 and ranked No. 10 in the country. The Wildcats have just one senior in their rotation but a few others who could leave after the season for the NBA. The Wolverines are 17-9 and just outside the top-25. They will lose senior starters Zavier Simpson and Jon Teske.

The London Showcase will be the first college basketball games to be played at the famous O2 Arena. It will serve as a fundraiser the Hall of Fame.

UMBC is best known for becoming the first 16 seed to beat a 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament, knocking off Virginia in 2018. Marist, out of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, hasn’t reached the NCAA Tournament since 1987.
