UFC 250: Nunes vs. Spencer poster released

Esther Lin, MMA Fighting

UFC 250 doesn’t officially have a home yet, but the main event looks to be locked in.

On Friday night, the UFC released its official poster for the card headlined by a women’s featherweight title fight between Amanda Nunes and Felicia Spencer.

Nunes will look to further cement her name in the history books as the greatest women’s MMA fighter of all-time in her first 145-pound title defense. “The Lioness” captured the title with a first-round knockout win over Cris Cyborg at UFC 232 and has since defended her bantamweight title against Holly Holm and Germaine de Randamie.

Spencer bounced back from her lone pro loss to Cyborg at UFC 240 with a dominant first-round TKO win over Zarah Fairn at February’s UFC Norfolk event to earn her first opportunity to become a UFC champion.

A location has not been officially announced for the June 6 show but should COVID-19 restrictions be lifted, the UFC APEX in Las Vegas would be the likely landing spot.
