Evan Dunham will make his return to the octagon on June 6, taking on Brazilian featherweight Herbert Burns in a 150-pound catchweight at UFC 250, multiple sources told MMA Fighting.

The pay-per-view event will take place at Las Vegas’ UFC Apex and feature two-division queen Amanda Nunes defending her featherweight belt opposite Felicia Spencer in the main event attraction.

Dunham (18-8-1) announced his retirement from the sport following a loss to Francisco Trinaldo in Sept. 2018, his second knockout loss that year, but decided to return in 2020. He was slated to face Michael Johnson in April, but the fight fell through.

The 38-year-old lightweight is on a three-fight winless skid that includes a loss to Olivier Aubin-Mercier and a majority draw versus Beneil Dariush. Dunham’s last victory was a decision over Rick Glenn in 2016, capping off a four-fight winning streak.

Burns (10-2) signed with the UFC after chocking out Darrick Minner at Dana White’s Contender Series in Aug. 2018, and knocked out Nate Landwehr in his UFC debut in January. The ONE Championship veteran won four in a row since leaving the Asian promotion.
