Georges St-Pierre’s former coach wanted for money laundering

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight champion, Georges St-Pierre, comes across as a clean-cut, wholesome human being who really loves ice cream, but he certainly rubs elbows with some questionable individuals.

That said, I’m willing to give him a pass for “The King of Pot.”

Another crooked creep able to find his way into St-Pierre’s inner circle was Ukrainian kickboxer Victor Vargotskii, who previously trained “Rush” at the Tristar gym in Montreal (watch them hit mitts right here).

Vargotskii, now 56, is wanted by Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) for his alleged role in “a vast international money laundering network,” as reported by multiple online outlets, including Montreal Gazette and CTV News (via Bloody Elbow).

“This procedure allowed for the laundering of significant amounts of money originating from illegal activities, including drug trafficking,” according to the RCMP website. “The criminal organizations could thus import drugs through this network.”

Vartogskii, along with two others, is still at large.

St-Pierre changed kickboxing coaches from Vargotskii to Phil “The Greaseman” Nurse after getting creamed by Matt Serra at UFC 69.
