Montgomery man arrested for throwing hot coffee on 9-month-old girl during argument

A Montgomery man was arrested after allegedly burning 9-month-old girl with hot coffee during a domestic altercation.

The Montgomery Police Department arrested Alnekeo Davis, 20, on Thursday and charged him with first-degree assault. The victim was taken to a hospital in Birmingham and was in critical but stable condition.

The alleged incident occurred about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 700 block of Burbank Drive. Davis allegedly was in an argument with an adult woman, when the 9-month-old girl was burned. Police arrested Davis the next day.

Davis remained in Montgomery County Jail on Friday morning on an $80,000 bond.
