Montgomery man charged in May 12 Capri Street shooting

A Montgomery man has been arrested for a shooting that occurred on May 12.

On Tuesday, the Montgomery Police Department has charged 26-year-old Kendal Johnson with murder in the shooting of 45-year-old Cedric Hubbard.

Johnson was transported to the Montgomery County Detention Facility, where he was being held under a $150,000 bond.

The shooting occurred on the 700 block of Capri Street on May 12. Hubbard suffered a life-threatening gunshot wound and died on June 5.

MPD’s investigation determined that the victim and the suspect knew each other, and the shooting stemmed from a verbal altercation between the two.
