PRATTVILLE — Two Montgomery men are facing attempted murder charges after a shooting at a Prattville apartment complex.

L’Dontay Garrison, 20, and De’Coriyon Taylor, 19, each face attempted murder charges and charges of shooting into an occupied dwelling, said Police Chief Mark Thompson. They were in the Autauga Metro Jail on Thursday night, under bonds of $260,000 each, jail records show.

On the night of May 31, officers responded to a shots fired call at Victoria Place Apartments, which is in east Prattville off of Cobbs Ford Road. The victims told officers they were in their vehicle when two men fired numerous shots at them, reports show. Officers recovered at least 14 shell casings from a high-powered rifle from the parking lot, Thompson said at the time.

No one was injured, but one round struck an occupied apartment, he said. Garrison and Taylor were arrested Thursday in Montgomery, with the assistance of the U.S. Marshal’s Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force, Thompson said. The chief would not comment on a possible motive in the shooting, citing the ongoing nature of the investigation.
