Meraki Salon opens in east Montgomery

Meraki Salon is now open at 8125 Decker Lane in Suite I across Atlanta Highway from the Arrowhead and Lake Forest communities in east Montgomery.

The opening on Aug. 13 fulfilled a dream of longtime stylists Debra Gamble and Nikki Webb, who have a combined 55 years of experience. 

“Nikki and I have worked together for over 15 years, and it has always been our dream to own our own salon in order to offer a different salon experience in Montgomery,” Gamble said. “The timing just came together this year in order to bring our dreams to fruition.”

The salon serves men, women and children. The store’s hours are Tuesday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.  and on Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“Our salon offers an innovative approach to color including balayage, color melts, and foilayage, as well as long time favorites like base color and foil highlights,” Gamble said. “We also strive to stay on top of the latest trends in cuts, styles, and colors by continuing education at various classes including Sunlights Balayage and cutting classes by Daniel Joseph Muldoon.”

Gamble said that customers are enjoying the new site while the salon team also is adding to their following.

“Our clients have been super excited about the new experience in a more calm, soothing atmosphere,” Gamble said. “We look forward to continuing to please current clients as well as bringing new guests into the Meraki family.”

Also inside Suite I, Sassyfras Boutiques and owner Carli McKinley are offering affordable apparel and jewelry for the everyday woman.

“She wants to make sure every woman looks and feels their sassy best,” Gamble said.

Sassyfras offers tops, bottoms, dresses and accessories.
