Beasley Allen attorney Larry Golston is the new president of the Montgomery County Bar Association.

Local attorney Larry Golston has taken over as the new leader of the Montgomery County Bar Association, an educational, networking and support organization for lawyers. He’s the organization’s 91st president and just the second African American to hold the office.

“It is an honor to serve the Montgomery County Bar Association and my colleagues in this role,” Golston said in a release. “The MCBA has a long tradition of serving area attorneys and the community and I look forward to building on these traditions.”

Golston is a principal and trial attorney in Beasley Allen’s Fraud Section. The firm said Golston’s practice is focused on whistleblower litigation, retaliation, wage and hour litigation, sexual harassment, employment discrimination, business fraud and class action. He previously served as president of the Alabama Lawyers Association and the Capital City Bar Association.

The Birmingham native is on the board of directors for the YMCA of Greater Montgomery’s Bell Road Branch, where he serves as a youth football and basketball coach.
