Coleman said officers and fire medics responded to the 3200 block of Harrison Road about 8:20 p.m. Sunday and found Adair, 27, suffering from a gunshot wound.

Adair was taken to a hospital with a life-threatening gunshot wound where she ultimately succumbed to her injury.

Coleman did not say what motive Owens may have had for allegedly shooting Adair.

Adair's death marked the city's 41st homicide investigation, only one case shy of the case count for all of 2019.

Owens was booked into the Montgomery County Detention Facility with a $150,000 bond.
