BEDMINSTER – President Donald Trump will not be visiting his golf club here this weekend, after all.

After a no-fly zone was issued for VIP movement, indicative of a presidential visit, for Morristown and Bedminster earlier this week for the coming weekend, another no-fly zone was issued for Maine for Saturday.

According to a report by Politico, that's because Trump scrapped his plans to travel to Trump National Golf Club here and instead fly to a Maine-based manufacturer of cotton swabs used in coronavirus tests before returning to the capital.

Trump's planned visit this weekend would have been his first of the year to his golf club in Bedminster, referred to as his "summer White House."

His visit would have likely been met by protesters, including the group, People's Motorcade, which has set out to protest in Bedminster every weekend since Trump was elected.

Trump is reportedly planning to visit his golf club here next weekend for a reelection campaign fundraiser.
