SAN ANGELO, Texas — Lake View and Central high schools both celebrated graduations Saturday.
Staff members cheered as students drove past several tents. Each tent had different giveaways for the students. Some had masks, others had food giveaways.
Lake View students drove through the parking lot lined with people cheering, many who had signs with students' names and messages such as "A New Chapter Begins."
Once students arrived at the tent, they were allowed to exit their vehicles. They were given their diploma and had the opportunity to take the official photo.
At the Central drive-thru ceremony, staff and teachers cheered and handed students different items at each tent.
At the final tent, they were handed their diploma, they exited vehicles to take the official photo and walk across a small stage.
All virtual graduation ceremonies will be played on Suddenlink Ch. 4 several times a day through June 13.
In-person celebrations are scheduled for the weekend of June 26 through June 28.
