Passengers have been advised not to travel on Thameslink services as all trains have been suspended indefinitely.
There is currently no service this evening (Friday, August 23) due to damage to the overhead wires at Kentish Town.
Thameslink have announced that there is currently no estimate available as to when the line will reopen.
Services London to the south, west and north have been severely disrupted as a result. Passengers have been warned there are delays until at least an hour.
A spokesperson for Thameslink said: "There is currently no estimate available as to when the line will reopen, however we anticipate trains will remain disrupted until at least 8pm.
"Trains are currently at a stand in the area and there is currently no services to and from London St Pancras International. Journey times may be extended by at least 60 minutes."

Disruption 'until end of the day'
Disruption between Brighton and Bedford is anticipated until the end of the day.
Thameslink looking to 'split' services
Thameslink are currently looking at “splitting” services that would run between Brighton, Sutton and East Grinstead, through the affected area towards Luton and Bedford.
This would mean:
- Trains travelling from Brighton, Sutton and East Grinstead, will terminate them at London Blackfriars and restart their journey south from there.
- Trains from Luton and Bedford, will run as a shuttle services, between Bedford and Harpenden
Delays without ETA
Services are delayed without an ETA at the moment and may be cancelled, a Thameslink spokesperson said on Twitter.
Delays due to damaged wires
Delays are due to damage to the overhead electric wires between St Albans City and Blackfriars.
Bus replacement services not yet in place
Bus replacement services have been requested but not yet in place yet.
