The school cited several reasons for its decision.
"As we begin to develop a shifting vision for future experiences that continue to be anchored in our community resources, aligned to the learning of our students, and capturing our mission at CVSD, this year will be our final year of hosting the Halloween parade," the release read. "We will bid a fond farewell and heartfelt thanks to Pumpkin Man."
The decision was released approximately one month after Edmunds Elementary School in Burlington decided to cancel its Halloween parade.
Charlotte Central School's final Halloween parade and Pumpkin Man appearance will be on Oct. 31.
