The ban will be enforced on all city streets and several adjacent lots between the hours of 1 a.m. and 7 a.m. Tuesday. City officials say the ban will remain in effect until further notice.
Montpelier officials have provided a map outlining all areas observing the ban. Two public lots will close on alternating mornings to allow for snow and ice removal:
• Pitkin Court Parking Lot will be closed between 1 a.m. and 7 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday during any winter parking ban.
• Blanchard Parking Lot will be closed between 1 a.m. and 7 a.m. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday during any winter parking ban.
Any car parked in a prohibited area may be ticketed and towed at expense of the owner.
