Chocolate shop opens in central Vermont

NEW PLACE IN MONTPELIER. TO FILL UP ON CHOCOLATE. (áááVOááá) RABBLE ROUSER OFFICALLY OPENED ITS CENTRAL VERMONT LOCATION ON AUGUST 28TH. THE ORIGINAL STORE IN MIDDLESEX CALLED NUTTY STEPHS IS STILL OPEN, BUT ALL OF THE PRODUCTION NOW TAKES PLACE IN MONTPELIER. THE NEW STORE ALSO HAS A FLORIST, A FULL BAR AND LOUNGE. THE CO- OWNER IS SO EXCITED TO HAVE A NEW LOCATION AND A NEW NAME. <THERE WAS A LOT OF THROWING AROUND OF DIFFERENT NAMES AND WE ENDED UP COMING UP WITH RABBLE ROUSER BECAUSE A RABBLE ROUSER IS SOMEONE WHO INSIGHTS EMOTION FOR POSITIVE CHANGE AND THAT'S REALLY WHAT WE WANT TO DO

Chocolate shop opens in central Vermont

Rabble Rouser opened its central Vermont location on Aug. 28.The original store in Middlesex, called Nutty Steph's, is still open, but all of the product production will take place in the Montpelier location. "We've been over in Middlesex for the last 15 years and have been thinking about opening up another space in central Vermont," said co-owner and chocolatier Liz Knapp. The Montpelier location is at 62 Main St. On April 1, the company became a cooperative business. On Jan. 1, 2020, all of the Nutty Steph's locations will change its names to Rabble Rouser. "There was a lot of throwing around of different names. We ended up coming on Rabble Rouser because a rabble rouser is somebody who incites emotions for positive change, and that is really what we want to do here," said Knapp.The new store in Montpelier also features a bar, a lounge, a florist partner and a full kitchen that serves Jamaican food.

Rabble Rouser opened its central Vermont location on Aug. 28.
