In Division II boys soccer, 10th-seeded Mount Abraham struck twice late to sink the Solons, 2-0. The Eagles will travel to No. 2 Middlebury for a quarterfinal matchup at 1 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
In girls soccer, No. 4 Montpelier blanked visiting Woodstock, 3-0. With the victory, the Solons earned the right to host 12th-seeded Missisquoi at 5 p.m. Friday.
Finally, in Division III field hockey, No. 9 Milton jumped ahead by a score before Montpelier scored two straight goals to steal a 2-1 victory in the opening round of the playoffs. The 8th-seeded Solons will play at top-seeded Windsor at 3:30 p.m. Friday in the quarterfinal round.
