The Montrose Police Department has confirmed that Tess Warner, the owner of Little Tots, a daycare facility in Montrose, has been summoned to court on charges of child abuse. She is due to appear in court on October 21.

The Montrose PD began the investigation after Lora Hood, a Montrose mom whose daughter was at the facility, claimed that she found her daughter in a closet when she went to pick her up.

"I opened that door and in the dark she was sitting in a pack n’ play, awake, empty bottle, but no pillow, no blanket. I didn't see a baby monitor in the closet," says Hood.

Lora says the daycare owner, Tess Warner, was not at the business at the time and says the only supervision over the children was an assistant.

We will continue to update this story as more details emerge.
