Richmond trash pick-up delayed by a day

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Trash collection in Richmond is being delayed by a day.

The Department of Public Works tweeted that pick-up was one day off-scheduled.

Due to snow accumulation, a 75 percent collection rate is underway. If your trash is not collected, the city says to leave it in the alleys and it will be gathered later in the week.

Pick-up crews will work Friday and Saturday to collect anything that was missed from earlier in the week.

Update: Trash collection is 1-day off schedule. Crews will be operating at 75% collection rate based on conditions of the alleys. If your trash is missed, leave your supercans in the alley for pickup later in the wk. Crews will be working on Fri. & Sat. to collect missed trash.
