RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - The Richmond Division of the FBI is offering a reward up to $10,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for killing a man in 2016.

Officers found the body of Ronald A. Holder, 48, in his car outside the Dollar General store at 3903 Walmsley Boulevard just after 8 a.m. Police said he died of an apparent gunshot wound.

FBI officials said Holder arrived to the store in the early morning hours and entered through the front entrance.

Holder gathered the overnight cash deposits and placed them inside a grey and black soft-sided cooler.

When he prepared to leave in his vehicle, an unknown person fired multiple shots at holder. The person left, but later returned and opened the victim’s vehicle.

The cooler was not at the scene when officers arrived.

Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 804-261-1044 or tips.fbi.gov.
