Cross Plains home deemed 'total loss' after fire

A home in the Village of Cross Plains is considered a total loss after a fire early Sunday morning.
At approximately, 2:10AM several agencies responded to a structure fire at the 3100 block of Hillside Trail.
The Dane County Sheriff's Office says all residents were located safely and the homeowners did not have any pets.
The fire took about an hour to extinguish and flames were visible on the roof of the residence when firefighters arrived on scene.
Authorities do not considered the fire to be suspcious. The home is a total loss but the estimated damage is not available at this time.
Dane County Sheriff’s Deputies, along with fire departments from Cross Plains, Dane, Black Earth, Mazomanie, and City of Middleton all assisted.
