Middleton man identified in Town of Mazomanie fatal crash

The Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the man killed in a motorcycle crash in the Town of Mazomanie Thursday evening.

A motorcycle crash occurred at the intersection of State Highway 19 and County Highway F at approximately 5:13 p.m., according to the Dane County Medical Examiner's Office.

Todd Michael Pfeil, 51 of Middleton, was the only person in the vehicle. Pfeil was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

A forensic examination of Pfeil took place Friday at the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office. Preliminary results of the examination confirm Pfeil's death was the from injuries suffered in the crash. Additional testing is underway at this time, according to the Dane County Medical Examiner's Office.

This death remains under investigation by the Dane County Sheriff’s Office and the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office.
