Woman dead after falling into a Madison pond

According to Madison Police Chief Mike Koval's blog, a 60-year-old woman has died after falling into a pond Saturday night.
At 8:39pm, Madison police and Madison fire/EMS responded to Golf Glen for a report of a woman who had fallen into a pond.
The caller was the victim's boyfriend who was unable to pull her out of the water.
Officers and paramedics arrived on scene within seven minutes and began trying to resuscitate her but she could not be revived.
The investigation is continuing and the Madison Police department is working with the Dane County Medical Examiner's office.
