COLUMBUS (WCMH) – Columbus Police are warning Ohio State University students to be on the lookout for package thieves. Law enforcement says a luxury apartment building on High Street that houses students was the victim of a burglary.

The surveillance pictures are crystal clear. You can see this male and female looking straight into the surveillance camera in the elevator at the apartment building “The View” on High Street.

Columbus Police say they two stole several packages from inside the building on February 3rd.

“It really is a rare occurance. I’ve been living in this building for 3 or 4 years and nothing like this has happened before,” says OSU student and resident, Brandon Yashouafar.

Students who live here say this is the first time something like this has happened.

The building is always locked. And you must have a key card to the enter. So how did these two accused thieves get in? Police say they walked in behind a resident.

“I definitely check my packages a little closer now to make sure I get them a soon as they come down,” said OSU student and resident Hannah Topliff.

If you have seen these two suspects you are encouraged to call Columbus Police.
