COLUMBUS (WCMH) – Members of the Jewish community in Central Ohio gathered Wednesday night to discuss security.

They were part of a forum hosted by JewishColumbus.

Law enforcement professionals spoke to the group about ways to defend themselves, in case of an attack. In light of recent events, organizers say tonight’s forum was even more relevant.

“This is very important because obviously what happened in Pittsburgh so we need to make sure that we’re trained and we know how to respond in case of the worst,” said Justin Shaw with JewishColumbus.

JewishColumbus is hosting two more forums at area synagogues over the next month.
