A 24-year-old Delaware man was arrested and charged in connection to a hit-skip accident that seriously injured a 22-year-old pedestrian, according to Delaware police.

Devon T. Tosco, 24, was charged him with a fourth-degree felony count of failing to stop after a March 16, 2019, accident in downtown Delaware at the intersection of William and Sandusky Streets.

Tosco allegedly struck D’Shawn Almanson and fled the scene in a 1995 Black Nissan Maxima, registered to Tosco.

Almanson, 22, of Delaware, sustained serious injuries and was transported to Grant Medical Center in Columbus after the crash.

Tosco was taken into custody March 25, arraigned in Delaware Municipal Court March 26, and is currently being held at the Delaware County Jail on a $150,000 bond; pending future court proceedings.

Police recovered the Nissan Maxima, registered to Tosco, on March 27 in Morrow County, Ohio.

Almanson, 22, of Delaware sustained serious injuries and was transported to Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio the night of the incident.
