COLUMBUS (WCMH) — One victim is in serious but stable condition following a shooting in northeast Columbus Sunday night.

According to the Columbus Division of Police, at about 9:38pm, Sunday, officers were called to the 2400 block of Jeri Avenue on the report of a shooting.  

Police say when they arrived on scene, they found the 36-year-old female victim suffering from a gunshot wound.  

The woman was taken to Grant Medical Center in stable condition.  

The victim told police she heard multiple gunshots outside her home and noticed she had been struck. 

A witness told police they saw a dark colored compact car drive away from the scene after the shooting.
