The city of Richmond is seeking public input on their plans to create new pathways for pedestrians and bicyclists traveling between the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge and the newly operational ferry terminal at the Craneway Pavilion.
Once completed, city officials say the Richmond Ferry to Bridge to Greenway Complete Streets Plan will help connect Richmond to destinations in Marin County and San Francisco by adding improved sidewalks, bike lanes and lighting to help access existing transit infrastructure.
The project, which launched in December, is anticipated to have a final plan by June 2020. Meanwhile, city officials are interested in hearing from members of the public about what modes of transit they use while going to, or traveling in, Richmond and how respondents feel about the city's walkability.
The survey takes about 5 minutes to complete and can be conducted via SMS text message. Anyone who wants to participate can text "active" to (510) 900-5861.
