A woman who had been trapped under a vehicle and needed to be extricated following a pedestrian crash Thursday morning in Concord, Massachusetts, died from her injuries, the Middlesex District Attorney's Office said.
The crash happened at about 10:30 a.m. the intersection of Thoreau and Main streets, police said.
The victim was taken to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead, according to the district attorney's office.
The woman was identified Friday as Jennifer Bemis, a 67-year-old from Concord, county prosecutors and local police said.
Their preliminary investigation found that Bemis was hit by a vehicle being driven by a 91-year-old woman from Littleton through the intersection. Bemis was pronounced dead after being taken to a hospital.
The driver stayed at the scene of the crash and isn't facing charges as of Friday, authorities said. Their investigation is still ongoing.
