Chicago Weather: Cold and Snow Return for the Weekend

Friday started off with a nearly 30-degree drop in temperatures from a day earlier – and things won’t get much better in the days ahead

After a few hours of what felt like spring, the cold and snow returns to Chicago this weekend.

Friday started off with a nearly 30-degree drop in temperatures from a day earlier – and things won’t get much better in the days ahead.

Temperatures will remain cold through the weekend, bringing another round of potential snow to the area.

Saturday could see some lake effect clouds and flurries in the morning hours with seasonably cold temperatures in the upper-20s and low-30s.

Overnight Sunday, light snow is forecast to develop and continue throughout the day. The snow is expected to taper near dawn, leaving behind one and two inches of snowfall. A few showers could linger Monday morning with another half to one inch in accumulation possible.

Highs remains in the upper-20s and low-30s.
