A Chicago police car was shot by an unknown offender in Humboldt Park early Saturday morning while officers were inside, according to Chicago police.

The unmarked police car sustained minor damage after a gunshot hit the trunk at around 1:19 a.m in the 1600 block of North Avers Avenue, according to police.

No one is in custody and no injuries were reported, according to police.

Area Four detectives are investigating.
