State police responded to Bradley International Airport Tuesday morning after dispatchers received a report that an explosive might be on an aircraft. They found no threat and an investigation in now underway into where the threat came from.
Trooper Josue Dorelus said state police dispatchers received a 911 call just before 7 a.m. about a possible bomb threat at the airport. Dispatchers learned that a possible explosive might have been on an aircraft
The flight in question was evacuated and passengers and luggage were again screened and TSA determined that there was no credible threat.
Officials from American Airlines said in an email that there was a "non-credible threat" and it has been cleared.
Passengers were allowed back on the flight, which has departed.
Officials from the Connecticut Airport Authority said the airport is open and other flights were not impacted.
As the investigation continues, the FBI is investigating to determine where the threat came from.
