Water has been restored after a water main break that closed part of South Main Street in West Hartford on Tuesday morning.
Officials said the 12-inch water main break happened shortly after midnight and closed a portion of the road between Elmfield and Hall streets.
Water was shut down to 13 homes on South Main Street while crews worked to repair the break, the Metropolitan District added.
The 12-inch pipe was installed in 1941, authorities added.
Work to restore the road is underway and is expected to take several hours.
