There's so much good stuff to tell you about this Sunday, but before you start making plans for your night, I'm first going to implore you to go to church. It doesn't really matter what your personal religious proclivities might be, but today there's a super special opportunity to catch three different performances of the Watoto Children's Choir. The group is made up of orphans from Uganda and as a choir, they've toured the world playing for presidents and common folk alike. See listings below for these morning shows and support if you can. You can follow up with a second visit to church, when Trashcan Sinatras play AMSD at Sweetwater Community Church. Their two-record tour sold out last year, so they decided to pick two different records to play front to back in their entirety, and as a fan since the '90s, this is one I've been lookin forward to for a while. Of course, there are some biggies in town, too, with the Black Keys and Modest Mouse at Pechanga Arena or Young Thug and Machine Gun Kelley for the last show of the season at the Open Air Theatre. It's a great day for music, and most of these shows should wrap up early enough for you to get your full night's sleep before moving into the work week.
