Damian Jones has played in just 49 games since the Warriors took the center with the 30th overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft.

With Golden State's roster in flux, the big man needs more reps. And that's exactly what he'll get this summer.

A source told NBC Sports Bay Area's Logan Murdock on Monday that the Warriors will use Jones on their California Classic summer league team next week in Sacramento.

The California Classic will be held July 1-3 at Golden 1 Center, and feature four teams -- the Warriors, Kings, Lakers and Heat.

Jones, who turns 24 on June 30, played in 24 games last season for the Warriors. He started in 22, averaging 5.4 points, 3.1 rebounds and one block over 17.1 minutes per game.

Jones began the season as the Warriors' starting center while DeMarcus Cousins rehabbed a torn Achilles. But he tore a left pectoral muscle in December and didn't return until Game 1 of the Western Conference finals

This upcoming season will be a big one for Jones, as he needs to stay healthy and prove he can be a reliable Warriors option in the present and the future.
