Newark man indicted on rape, kidnapping charges

NEWARK - The following people were indicted on felony charges in Licking County Common Pleas Court.

Dimitrius A. Smith, 32, last known address 255 Everett St., Apartment C, Newark, was charged with one count each rape, a first-degree felony; kidnapping, a first-degree felony; and domestic violence, a fourth-degree felony.

On July 17, Smith was suspected of engaging in sexual conduct with another when the offender purposely compels the other person to submit by force or threat of force; between July 17-21, Smith was suspected of removing another from the place where the other person is found or restraining the liberty of the other person to engage in sexual activity; and between July 18-19, Smith was suspected of knowingly causing or attempting to cause physical harm to a family or household member, according to the indictment.

Austin G. Lough, 25, last known address 6701 National Road, Jacksontown, was charged with one count of aggravated possession of controlled substances, a fifth-degree felony.

On April 26, Lough was suspected of having methamphetamine, according to the indictment.

Jessica L. Hunter, 32, last known address 163 Harris Ave., Newark, was charged with one count each felonious assault, a second-degree felony, and unlawful possession of dangerous ordinance - illegally manufacturing or processing explosives, a fifth-degree felony.

On July 18, Hunter was suspected of knowingly causing serious physical harm to another or to another's unborn and knowingly acquiring, having, carrying or using any dangerous ordinance, according to the indictment.

Antoine M. Stephens, 34, last known address 5770 Saranac Dr., Columbus, was charged with one count of aggravated trafficking in drugs, a first-degree felony.

On July 17, Stephens was suspected of knowingly selling or offering to sell methamphetamine, according to the indictment.

Hayley M. Olinger-Mitchell, 19, last known address 1117 Daisy Lane, Heath, was charged with one count each aggravated vehicular assault, a third-degree felony; failure to comply with order or signal of police officer, a third-degree felony; and theft, a fourth-degree felony.

On July 17, Olinger-Mitchell was suspected of causing serious physical harm to another person or their unborn while operating or particpating in the operation of a vehicle, operating a vehicle to willfully elude or free a police officer after receiving a visible or audible signal from a police officer to stop, and stealng a vehicle, according to the indictment.

Justin A. Hilliard, 34, last known address 9212 Miller Road, Johnstown, was charged with one count of aggravated possession of controlled substances, a fifth-degree felony.

On Jan. 26, Hilliard was suspected of having methamphetamine, according to the indictment.

Christopher R. Mullins, 35, last known address 3411 W. Broad St., Columbus, was charged with one count of aggravated trafficking in drugs, a fourth-degree felony.

On Aug. 20, Mullins was suspected of knowingly selling or offering to sell methamphetamine, according to the indictment.

Mark W. Ohse, 39, last known address 115 Pierson Ave., Newark, was charged with one count of aggravated possession of controlled substances, a fifth-degree felony.

On May 24, Ohse was suspected of having methamphetamine, according to the indictment.

Riley X. Bretz, 31, last known address 5986 Central College Road, New Albany, was charged with one count each of vandalism, a fifth-degree felony; and menacing by stalking, a fourth-degree felony; and five counts of violating protection order, all fifth-degree felonies.

On March 20, Bretz was suspected of knowingly causing serious physical harm to property that is owned, leased or controlled by a governmental entity; between June 19-26, Bretz was suspected of engaging in a pattern of conduct knowingly causing another person to believe the offender will cause serious physical harm to the other person or a family or household member of theirs, or cause mental distress to the person, a family or household member; and on June 19, 20, 22, 24, and 26, Bretz was suspected of recklessly violating the terms of a protection order, according to the indictment.

Dwight E. Gales, 37, last known address 392 Ross Road, Whitehall, was charged with one count of aggravated trafficking in drugs, a first-degree felony.

On July 17, Gales was suspected of knowingly selling or offering to sell methamphetamine, according to the indictment.

Jennifer E. Beck, 37, last known address 497 Seroco Ave., Newark, was charged with one count each aggravated possession of controlled substances, a third-degree felony; possession of controlled substances, a first-degree misdemeanor; and possessing drug abuse instruments, a second-degree misdemeanor.

On Sept. 19, Beck was suspected of having methamphetamine, Suboxone/Buprenorphine/Naloxone, and drug abuse instruments, according to the indictment.

Dwayne M. Rosier, 37, last known address 116 FLeek Ave., Newark, was charged with one count of failure to comply with order or signal of police, a third-degree felony.

On July 18, Rosier was suspected of operating a vehicle willfully to elude or flee a police officer after receiving a visible or audible signal from a police officer to stop, according to the indictment.

Christopher A. Fowler, 35, last known address 27 Daugherty Circle, Newark, was charged with one count each possession of controlled substances, a fifth-degree felony; and possessing drug abuse instruments, a first-degree misdemeanor.

On Oct. 26, Fowler was suspected of having heroin and on Oct. 26, Fowler was suspected of having a hypodermic or syringe, according to the indictment.

Michael J. Hamilton, 34, last known address 327 Union St., Apartment B15, Newark, was charged with one count of aggravated possession of controlled substances, a fifth-degree felony.

On July 21, Hamilton was suspected of having methamphetamine, according to the indictment.

Matthew G. Johnson, 38, last known address 7150 Clarke Starte Road, Blacklick, was charged with one count of failure to comply with order or signal of police, a third-degree felony.

Between July 16-17, Johnson was suspected of operating a vehicle willfully to elude or flee a police officer after receiving a visible or audible signal from a police officer to bring the person's motor vehicle to a stop, according to the indictment.

Angela M. Coffee, 34, last known address 18 Buckeye Ave., Buckeye Lake, was charged with one count of aggravated possession of controlled substances, a fifth-degree felony.

On Sept. 3, Coffee was suspected of having methamphetamine, according to the indictment.

Brittany Minton, 31, last known address 12 Flamingo Dr., Newark, was charged with two counts of possession of controlled substances, a fourth and fifth-degree felony; and one count each aggravated possession of controlled substances, a fifth-degree felony; and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia, a fourth-degree misdemeanor.

On April 23, 2019, Minton was suspected of having heroin, methamphetamine, Buprenorphine, and drug paraphernalia, according to the indictment.

Caetlynde L.J. Malcolm, 25, last known address 405 Cedarcrest Ave., Newark, was charged with two counts of aggravated possession of controlled substances, both fifth-degree felonies; and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia, a fourth-degree misdemeanor.

On July 12, 2019, Malcolm was suspected of having methamphetamine, a fentanyl-related compound, and drug paraphernalia, according to the indictment.

Timothy R. Cline, 41, last known address 518 Devon Dr., Vermillion, was charged with one count each having weapons while under disability, a third-degree felony; and aggravated possession of controlled substances, a fifth-degree felony.

On Nov. 6, Cline was suspected of having any firearm or dangerous ordinance while a fugitive from justice and on Nov. 6, 2019, Cline was suspected of having methamphetamine, according to the indictment.
