Pataskala woman gets 30 months in prison after stealing car, trafficking meth

NEWARK - The following people were sentenced for felony offenses in Licking County Common Pleas Court:

Salena L. Cordell, 23, last known address 84 South St., Homer, was sentenced to serve 60 days in the Licking County Justice Center after being found guilty of one count each forgery and theft, both fourth-degree felonies.

Between Jan. 1 and March 28, 2018, Cordell forged a document and stole property or services from an elderly person, according to court records.

Judge David Branstool ordered Cordell to pay all court costs and fees and $28,515.27 in restitution.

Michael Z. Holloway, 21, last known address 622 Glenbrook Dr., Apartment 48, Newark, was sentenced to three years of community control after being found guilty of one count aggravated assault, a fourth-degree felony.

On May 25, Holloway assaulted the victim and took his cell phone, according to court records.

Judge Thomas Marcelain ordered Holloway to pay all court costs and fees.

Brian M. Livingston, 37, last known address 186 N. Vernon Ave., Newark, was sentenced to three years of community control after being found guilty of one count aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony.

On April 4, Livingston was found with methamphetamine, according to court records.

Branstool ordered Livingston to pay court costs and fees.

Stephen L. Amos, 35, last known address 99 Simms Ave., Apartment A, Newark, was sentenced to three years of community control after being found guilty of one count aggravated trafficking in drugs, a third-degree felony.

On May 19, 2017, Amos sold or offered to sell oxycodone, according to court records.

Branstool ordered Amos to pay all court costs and fees and a suspended $5,000 fine.

Thomas A. Martin, 22, last known address 1100 Thornwood Dr., Lot 714, Heath, was sentenced to three years of community control and six months at the Licking County Justice Center after being found guilty of one count each aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony; and obstructing official business, a second-degree misdemeanor.

On Feb. 28, Martin had methamphetamine and obstructed official business, according to court records.

Marcelain ordered Martin to pay all court costs and fees.

Jonathon L. Butcher, 27, last known address 7214 Blacksnake Road NE, Utica, was sentenced to three years of community control after being found guilty of one count felonious assault, a second-degree felony, and a firearm specification.

On Aug. 1, Butcher assaulted the victim and fired multiple shots at him as the victim fled, according to court records.

Marcelain ordered Butcher to pay all court costs and fees.

Ashley M. Bethel, 32, last known address 280 River Ridge Road SW, Pataskala, was sentenced to 30 months in prison after being found guilty of one count each aggravated trafficking in drugs and theft, both fourth-degree felonies.

On Sept. 15, Bethel stole a vehicle from a Buckeye Lake gas station and on March 23, distributed or prepared to distribute methamphetamine, according to court records.

Marcelain ordered Bethel to pay all court costs and fees.

Rashidah S. Morgan, 38, last known address 283 ½ W. Church St., Newark, was sentenced to three years of community control after being found guilty of one count robbery, a third-degree felony.

On Oct. 18, Morgan assaulted the victim, then stole his bicycle, money, and a pocketknife, according to court records.

Marcelain ordered Morgan to pay all court costs and fees.
